Introduction
Human body is influenced by the force of Earth’s gravity, which is perceived by the body as a state of imbalance. The search for a new balance to counteract this force, resulting in a series of muscle contractions- decontractions (date to be reflex stimulation and voluntary), acting on functions skeletal muscles, joints, circulatory and lymphatic systems. The floating platforms exploit this principle by generating artificial waves of variable frequency which amplify the sensation of imbalance within the body perceived.
We observed the reactions of the body to stresses induced by oscillations and, in collaboration with the Department of Bioengineering at the Politecnico di Milano, we have identified a range of frequencies that simulate the natural stress which the body is subjected in everyday life and during exercise. Sophisticated kinematic and electromyographic evaluations have revealed the beneficial effects on appearances locomotive. Simultaneously with our Pilot Center, we observed the interactions of different types of users with platforms, defined, special training programs, aiming to optimize individual well-being and experiencing situations in which the oscillation becomes a vehicle of sociability.
The results of these cross studies have resulted in the creation of machines from the functional design. In our platforms nothing is left to chance, from the choice of materials to the invisible finishes, everything is designed to ensure stability, security, curability and attractive appearance. In the best tradition of Italian design, the shape of FitShake, FitShakeDLX and FitShake3.0 is born from their function. The ergonomic curve of the tubular structure, about 160 cm high, offers complete freedom of movement thanks to the multitude of holds possible. Simple commands placed on the display let you select different forms of training which meet various requirements; the platforms may in fact be used in sport and physiotherapy, beauty and wellness, preventive and curative fitness for senior citizens. |
